FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. I'll send you a guide to help you organize your day. On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. That's why I decided to photograph non-traditional and laid-back weddings.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm Muskoka based and yes, I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it may require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, I always try to find the most affordable way to come
When will we get our photos?
Weddings- You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story).
Family and Newborn sessions-
within 4 weeks
You can download all the photos from the online gallery but also share them with friends and family.
How many pictures will we receive?
Family and Newborn sessions can expect a gallery of 60+ images
Weddings
I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story. On average an 8 hour wedding gallery would be 400+ photographs.
What's your style?
My style is a mix of naturally posed and prompted photos and documentary style (real life images that you look your best in, of course). Together we will pick the best locations/light/direction for the most flattering light. My editing is true to colour with a bit of Muskoka thrown in.

Who is your ideal client?
Not everyone is my ideal client and I am ok with that. I want you to be happy, it is very important to me that my style is a good fit for you. If you're looking for perfectly posed photographs with everyone looking at the camera I'm probably not your girl (although I will try to get one for grandma). My clients are creative and fun. They can be a little crazy and think outside the box. Someone who wants to capture their unique and genuine story. My client finds beauty in the everyday. My client is awesome.
How do I book a session?
Step 1- is to inquire about availability (fill out my contact form and I'll shoot you an email back)
Step 2- Set a date/location
Step 3-is payment of a non-refundable retainer and a signed contract. Then you're booked!
We've set a date...now what?
You and I work together to find a beautiful location, pick the perfect outfits and find the most glorious light.
I work on-location, which can be anywhere "life" happens. At your home (no it doesn't have to be magazine perfect but it does have to have adequate natural light) or out in the community. Some cool places are the: -local coffee shop
-a hiking trail
-the cute village near you
-a local beach or waterfall
What do we wear?
Your wardrobe choices should reflect your personalities and they should coordinate (but not too matchy matchy). Choose something that makes you feel comfortable and pretty.
Feel free to show me too! My families send me pictures all the time. I’m no fashionista but I’m happy to give my opinion. Visit my Pinterest board "What to wear" for some great ideas.
Why are films so expensive?
A film generally takes anywhere from 20-30 hrs (sometimes even longer) to create. Video requires a great deal of time spent editing to get things just right, far more time than it takes for photos. It might seem expensive, but I guarantee you it's worth it and the value of that film will increase with every year that goes by after you've had it made.
